TEN TERRELL Biography

(ICS Program Director) Ten Terrell is an LA based “Jane of All Trades”: an artist, curator, event planner and program director, just to name a few.  As an artist Ten Terrell has a unique aesthetic and distinct creative approach which serves her well as a curator.  This includes the ability to recognize irreverence and the fantastic in the works of others and present them to the masses.  Some of the artists she has curated include Mear One, LA Art Girls, numerous artists on behalf of Phantom Galleries LA and the Downtown LA Artwalk.  As an artist her works have challenged the boundaries of the artistic realm, showing at the Getty Center, LACE and having collaborated with Suzanne Lacy, Barbara T. Smith and Felis Stella. In 2008, she became a founding member of The RAIZEcollective, along with ICS Creative Director David Wexler, and ICS Program Director Jordan Byrne. She has also planned events for the Getty Center, and the City of Long Beach, each on the cutting edge of expression. With ICS, Ten Terrell has come full circle, fully integrating her diverse knowledge and experience as both artist and curator into event planning and project management.
